The Workers’ Compensation Section brings together attorneys who represent both injured workers and employers within Ohio’s workers’ compensation system, providing a forum for connection, education, and practical insight into this specialized area of practice. The Section supports engagement across perspectives, helping members stay informed on developments that directly impact their day-to-day work.
Through regular meetings and CLE programming, the Section delivers timely updates from the Industrial Commission of Ohio and the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, along with presentations from experienced practitioners and subject matter experts. These programs are designed to address both legal and medical aspects of workers’ compensation practice.
A cornerstone of the Section’s programming is its Annual Workers’ Compensation Seminar. This full-day program features the latest trends and topics in the field, including presentations from physicians who provide valuable medical insight relevant to practitioners.
In addition to its educational offerings, the Section contributes to the CMBA Bar Journal and provides consistent opportunities for members to connect with colleagues who regularly practice before the Commission. Through these efforts, the Section supports professional development while strengthening the workers’ compensation community.
