The Thought Leadership Committee (TLC) leads the CMBA’s efforts to serve as a trusted voice on issues involving the legal system that are relevant to the community. Guided by the CMBA’s Strategic Plan, the Committee evaluates opportunities for the organization to engage on matters related to law, justice, and the rule of law.
The Committee advances this work through both proactive and responsive efforts. Proactively, it identifies and elevates important topics that shape the legal landscape. Responsively, it evaluates emerging issues and determines when it is appropriate for the CMBA to provide perspective or take a public position.
In doing so, the Committee applies established policies and procedures to ensure that any position reflects the interests of the organization, its members, and the broader community. Through thoughtful evaluation and careful consideration, the Committee helps ensure that the CMBA’s voice remains measured, credible, and impactful.
