The Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS) Oversight Committee provides guidance and support for the CMBA’s LRIS program, helping ensure it remains an effective and trusted resource for the public. The Committee advises on key aspects of the service, including attorney participation, client intake processes, and overall program development.
Through its work, the Committee helps connect individuals seeking legal assistance with qualified attorneys, while also supporting efforts to promote the service within the community. Members contribute insights on application criteria, recruitment of participating attorneys, and the ongoing refinement of how inquiries are screened and referred.
By strengthening the LRIS, the Committee plays an important role in improving access to legal services and supporting both the public and the attorneys who serve them.
