The International Law Section focuses on legal issues that cross national borders, including both private and public international law, as well as immigration-related topics. The Section provides a forum for attorneys interested in global legal matters to connect, share insights, and stay informed on developments impacting international practice.
Through CLE programming and collaborative initiatives with other Sections and Committees, the Section offers education on a wide range of topics, including cross-border transactions, regulatory frameworks, and immigration issues. These programs reflect the increasingly global nature of legal practice and the complexities that arise when legal systems intersect.
In addition to its educational efforts, the Section contributes to the CMBA Bar Journal and supports opportunities for networking and engagement among members with an interest in international law. Through these activities, the Section promotes professional development while expanding awareness of global legal issues and their local impact.
