The Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Law Section brings together attorneys and professionals focused on estate planning, probate administration, and trust law, providing a collaborative environment for networking, education, and professional growth. Recognized as CMBA’s Section of the Year in 2020–2021, the Section has a strong tradition of engagement and leadership within this practice area.
Through a robust calendar of CLE programming and regular meetings, the Section supports ongoing education on current developments, practical strategies, and emerging issues in estate planning and fiduciary practice. Signature programs, including the long-standing Estate Planning Institute and the annual Hot Topics for Estate Planners CLE, attract practitioners from across Ohio and feature timely content and experienced speakers.
In addition to its educational offerings, the Section contributes to the CMBA Bar Journal and participates in pro bono initiatives, including Brief Advice Clinics in partnership with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. Through these efforts, the Section fosters professional development while supporting service to the community and strengthening the practice of estate, probate, and trust law.
