The Cyber+ Section brings together attorneys and professionals interested in cybersecurity, data privacy, and emerging technologies, providing a forum to explore how these rapidly evolving areas are shaping the practice of law. Since its launch in 2018, the Section has focused on connecting the legal community with developments in technology and the organizations driving innovation in the field.
Through CLE programming and regular meetings, the Section supports ongoing education on current issues related to cybersecurity, data protection, and technology-driven change. These programs often feature collaboration with other Sections and Committees and provide timely insight into legal, regulatory, and practical considerations affecting both attorneys and their clients.
In addition to its educational offerings, the Section fosters connections between legal professionals and technology leaders, creating opportunities for networking and business development. The Section also contributes to the CMBA Bar Journal, supports pro bono and community initiatives, and engages with local law schools through student-focused efforts, including the Cyber+ Law Student Scholarship Fund. Through these activities, the Section helps position its members at the forefront of innovation in the legal profession.
