The Criminal Law Section brings together prosecutors, defense attorneys, members of the judiciary, and others involved in the criminal justice system, providing a forum for connection, collaboration, and professional development. The Section supports engagement across roles, encouraging meaningful dialogue on the practice and administration of criminal law.
Through CLE programming and joint initiatives with other Sections and Committees, the Section offers ongoing education on current legal issues, procedural developments, and emerging trends within the criminal justice system. These programs are designed to reflect the practical realities of criminal practice while incorporating perspectives from across the field.
In addition to its educational efforts, the Section contributes to the CMBA Bar Journal and provides opportunities for members to engage in shaping programming and discussion. Through these activities, the Section strengthens connections within the criminal law community and supports continued growth across all areas of practice.
