The Council on Conscious Inclusion (CCI) brings together leaders from across the CMBA to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion as a core value of the organization. Established to strengthen collaboration and alignment, the Council connects representatives from sections, committees, programs, and partner organizations whose work contributes to building a more inclusive legal community.
CCI serves as a forum for sharing ideas, coordinating efforts, and supporting initiatives that address systemic inequities and expand access and opportunity within the profession. Participants include leaders from workforce development programs, pipeline initiatives, affinity bar associations, and strategic workgroups focused on meaningful change.
Membership is by invitation and reflects active leadership in inclusion-related efforts. The Council meets quarterly and regularly engages guest speakers and subject matter experts to inform discussions and support ongoing progress. Through this work, CCI helps ensure that conscious inclusion is embedded across CMBA programs, partnerships, and priorities.
