The Business & Banking Section brings together attorneys who practice in corporate, transactional, and financial settings, creating opportunities to connect, share insights, and stay informed on developments impacting business and finance. The Section supports members working with corporations, financial institutions, and clients navigating complex business matters.
Through CLE programming and quarterly meetings, the Section provides education on current legal, regulatory, and market trends affecting corporate and banking practice. Its annual spring CLE program offers focused insight into timely issues facing practitioners in this space.
In addition to its educational offerings, the Section contributes to the CMBA Bar Journal and collaborates on initiatives that connect the legal and business communities, including partnerships with programs such as the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Through these efforts, the Section fosters professional growth while strengthening the role of legal counsel in business and financial decision-making.
