The 3Rs Oversight Committee provides leadership and direction for The 3Rs – Rights, Responsibilities, Realities and 3Rs+ programs, which connect legal professionals with students in the Cleveland Metropolitan and East Cleveland School Districts. These programs are designed to strengthen understanding of the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution while supporting student success in required government coursework and exposing students to future career opportunities.
Through both classroom-based instruction and expanded programming, volunteers engage students in meaningful conversations about civic responsibility, legal systems, and real-world decision-making. The 3Rs+ program extends this work beyond the classroom through mentoring, field trips, college readiness support, and career exploration experiences.
Committee members meet monthly to support curriculum development, recruit and retain volunteers, recognize program participants and partners, and evaluate program impact. This work plays a key role in building stronger connections between the legal community and the next generation.
